DARKER THAN A PAPER BAG TEST

TEST is the original creation that inspired (SKIN)STALLATIONS. It is handmade using a thick, darker material that feels and resembles skin. TEST is designed with extra weights on both shoulders, which adds another layer of meaning. The thickness of the material represents the resilience required to face societal pressures, challenges, and expectations. The weights on both shoulders symbolize the burdens placed on those who are effected by colourism and are instantly relieved when the piece is removed. Through the story woven into its very fabric, TEST aims to empower wearers who experience colourism, helping them feel understood, empowered, and confident in their own skin.

do not bleach.

The name derives from the infamous 'Brown Paper Bag Test', a practice used to measure an individual's skin tone compared to the colour of a Brown paper bag.
